Reconnecting your Duracell Energy system to Wi-Fi
New router or Wi-Fi password? How to reconnect your Duracell Energy inverter so the app updates again.
If you change your broadband provider, router or Wi-Fi password, your Duracell Energy inverter will lose its internet connection. Your battery keeps working, but the app may show Data Unavailable. Here's how to reconnect.
Before you start
- Your Wi-Fi needs to be 2.4 GHz.
- Your phone should be on your home Wi-Fi, with Bluetooth on.
- Check there's a light showing on the Wi-Fi dongle plugged into the inverter.
- Install or update the Dura-i app from the App Store or Google Play. This is a separate app used for setup, not the main Duracell Energy monitoring app.
Reconnecting
- Stand within about 2 metres of the inverter.
- Open the Dura-i app and tap Local Access on the login screen.
- Pick your inverter from the list. Its name starts with BLE.
- Enter the Bluetooth password. If you've never set one, or you've forgotten it, tap the Bluetooth symbol three times quickly to reset it.
- Choose End User.
- Open Settings from the bottom right of the overview page.
- Scroll to WLAN, enter your Wi-Fi name and password, then press Ok.
- Wait for the countdown to finish. You should see two green ticks, and the dongle light turns green.
If your inverter doesn't appear
- Move closer to the inverter.
- Check Bluetooth is on and the app has permission to use it.
- Close and reopen the app.
